A solar eclipse can have levels of impact on humans, animals, and other creatures on the planet.
In time immemorial, Solar eclipses often evoke a sense of awe and wonder in humans. Some cultures view eclipses with superstition or religious significance. People may gather in large numbers to observe the eclipse, leading to temporary changes in traffic patterns and increased demand for accommodations in the path of totality. Feelings of camaraderie arise, making the event an exercise in union and connection with others.
Lest we forget, viewing a solar eclipse without proper eye protection can cause serious eye damage.
Animals may exhibit unusual behavior during a solar eclipse. For example, birds may become silent or return to their nests, and nocturnal animals may become active, thinking it’s dusk.
The sudden darkness can disrupt the circadian rhythms of animals, leading to temporary confusion.
Some insects may become more active or change their behavior, thinking that night is falling.
There is some evidence that marine life, such as coral, may react to the reduced light levels during a solar eclipse.
Overall, while a solar eclipse can lead to temporary changes in behavior for various creatures, the cosmic effects are a different story.
Astrologically, a solar eclipse is considered a significant event that can bring about massive transformation and change. As we know, It occurs when the moon passes between the earth and the sun, temporarily obscuring the sun’s light. In astrology, the sun represents one’s core identity, ego, and life force, while the moon represents emotions, intuition, and the subconscious mind.
Here’s how a solar eclipse can affect you astrologically: Solar eclipses are often associated with new beginnings and fresh starts. They are seen as a time to set intentions, make important changes, and embark on new paths.
Eclipses can bring hidden information to light, leading to revelations and insights. They may reveal truths that were previously obscured, forcing you to confront and deal with them.
The energy of a solar eclipse can initiate deep transformation and personal growth. It can challenge your sense of identity and push you to evolve.
Eclipses can stir up intense emotions and feelings. You may experience heightened sensitivity and emotional fluctuations during this time.
Astrologers often view eclipses as times when fated events occur. These events can be pivotal moments that align you with your destiny or life path.
The astrological sign and house in which the eclipse occurs can provide clues about the areas of life that will be most affected. For example, an eclipse in your career house might indicate significant changes in your professional life.
It’s important to note that the effects of a solar eclipse can vary depending on your individual birth chart and the aspects it forms with your natal planets. Some people may feel the impact more strongly than others. If the degree of the eclipse does not line up with your unique map which is your Astrological Chart, then you might wonder what all the hoopla’s about.
Even if you are not in a part of the world where the solar eclipse is visible, you will still feel the energy effects, if your planets lineup with the heavenly eclipse degree as it pertains to your Astrological Chart.

We are really looking forward to the eclipse. We are fortunate to be on the path of totality and will be able to see the full thing happen. The kids and grandkids are coming over and making it an event with a picnic lunch, outside games etc. We are all set with our special glasses and ready to experience the event. Really, it’s just a great way for us to get together as a family. Have a great week and viewing!
my daughter is in college up in Erie and I’m excited for her to be in the path! got my glasses!
Hi Kate, thanks for all the info on the upcoming eclipse. While I won’t experience totality, I have many friends and family who will. I’ve shared with them the unexpectedly strong effect it had on me when I experienced totality several years ago. The silence of all the birds and insects was eerie, and the air felt dense and “weighty”. I enjoyed listening to your recording and watching your video as well.

Thank you for the reminder Kate. I forget how powerful the sun and moon are and how much they effect us. I used to have a moon planner that would remind me of the events and offer rituals to perform. This solar eclipse is a great time to set intentions and check in with how far I have come on my affiliate marketing journey and where I want to go in the weeks, months and years ahead.
We got our glasses and are ready to go. This one should be better for us (Chicago) that the one a couple years ago.

Astrologically speaking, I’m thinking that this eclipse will have an impact on the way we see and understand ourselves, and possibly, the way we see and understand our wounded places. I’m looking forward to it, actually, because I want to know myself entirely.
We in Saskatchewan will only see a partial eclipse on the 8th. I will be observant as to see how it affects me since I am sensitive to everything.
Kate,
I’m really looking forward to the solar eclipse! Here in North Carolina, we’re lucky to be in the path of an 80% total eclipse. It’s great to hear that we’re expecting partially sunny skies, so hopefully, we’ll get a good view of it. I remember experiencing a total eclipse when I was younger, and it was truly breathtaking. Can’t wait to witness this celestial event again!

The astronomical phenomenon will be less dramatic in the UK, I think. Things as exciting as this are usually in the news and I’ve not heard anything about it?? All the gatherings sound amazing, and definitely memory making opportunities!
Enjoy your time, and I’m looking forward to hearing all about it. I honestly didn’t know it had such effects so thank you for sharing
Kate, your blog post about solar eclipses is so interesting! I’ve always liked learning about space, and your post helped me understand even more. You explained how solar eclipses affect people and animals, showing how everything is connected to the universe. You talked about culture, science, and astrology, making it easy for everyone to understand. It was great that you reminded us to protect our eyes during eclipses. Your post made me want to learn even more about space! Keep writing awesome stuff, and I can’t wait to read more from you! 🌞🌑✨
Hi, Kate!
I’m in the path, and I’ve got my glasses. I’m looking forward to it!
I’ll be able to see it right before my shift begins at work, so I’m pretty lucky the way it worked out.
Enjoy!

An eclipse brings indeed agitation and changes in the behavior of animals and that includes us, human. This can readily be seen in my region with schools still wondering if they should let out the children during the eclipse. Here the eclipse will be total. For this reason the agitation is increased because of the rarity of the phenomenon. Thanks for sharing this post. It was really interesting to learn about these cultural and astronomical aspects.

Hi Kate,
I enjoyed your post today about the solar eclipse. I saw the last one I believe it was in 2017 with one if my son’s. It was awesome then! We’re gonna see this one tomorrow too. They’re excited! I believe the next one won’t be until 2042, so everyone better see this one since it will be a while before the next one. Thanks for your post. Take care.

Hi Kate,
Who would have thought that you could use: Boomer, Naps, Solar Eclipse, Cannabis And Meditation in a phrase – let alone a blog!?!!
Thank you for great information and specifically how to protect ourselves and improve our health.
Being in Canada, more specifically in Ottawa, we should have a great view of the upcoming solar eclipse. I intend to watch it via NASA’s website nasa.gov (couldn’t get a hold of glasses) but should be something nice to see!
All the best!
Hi Kate,
Loved your video, everything’s coming together.
You’re comfortable, natural, with a great sense of humor.
I predict many views/leads!!
Enjoy.
Think I’ll be missing the eclipse but know you’ll fill me in.
Another great blog post. I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed a solar eclipse, but I would love to do so. I will also keep my senses aware of the things that occur in nature when an eclipse is near. This is so interesting.
Yes, a rare, strange and, impressive event, you can easily see how superstitions arose around the event. I hope you had a great view. Here in Portugal we missed this one,
Hi Kate,

The irony (but not that ironic, actually) is that this past week was certainly perceived as a “new start” for me in regards to my online business. I feel like I had turned a page and have continued on to a new understanding… a “leveling up” if you will. It just so happens to be the week of the solar eclipse. Coincidence? Probably not!
