If you are a perpetually negative person and see only negative outcomes to everyday life struggles, then,, of course,, it’s going to always be a negative experience. A person’s self-talk is so important and necessary to turn that negativity into positivity. You can say… oh this will never work out… but instead say, what if this could work out…what could I do to encourage this to work. We are not put on this earth to sit and wait for life to happen TO us. We have options and choices and can make our lives happen by design. I firmly believe that now. I didn’t always think that. As you state, too, our families and the influences on how we were brought up may have shaped our minds in a certain way. Our parents might not have understood how powerful the mind is and that the seeds they planted may not have always been in our best interest. They only knew what they knew. But as adults, we can change the script in our heads. I no longer need to live in a daunting and bleak world. I am in charge of my future and what happens (up to a point until our maker says it’s time to come home).
